Lisa Goodwin-Allen

One of the most innovative and exciting chefs in the UK today. Lisa leads the Northcote kitchen which has maintained its Michelin star since 1996. Lisa lives and breathes food, it is this passion that means she is always looking for interesting ingredients and techniques, experimenting to create dishes where the ingredients and their flavour shine though. She draws inspiration from the beautiful Ribble Valley landscape to produce creative, stunning dishes which showcase the wide range of incredible produce the region has to offer.

Last year, Lisa won the coveted Chef of the Year award at The Cateys and AYALA Sqauremeal Female Chef of the Year. Mentoring the next generation of chefs is paramount in Lisa’s ethos and she was proud be named Chair of Craft guild of Chefs Young National Chef of the Year 2022/24, plus invited to judge the UK San Pellegrino Young Chef Academy 2022/23, along with a Mentor at the World final. Her impressive culinary skills have landed her regular TV appearances including Great British Menu, being the most successful female chef on the show, Sunday Brunch, Saturday Kitchen and James Martin’s Saturday Morning. Outside of work. Lisa loves to spend time with her husband and young son, often cooking with them and travelling to new places.

Obsession Food Festival

Obsession first took place in 2001 and was created as a celebration of great food, wine and a meeting of friends, old and new.

From that first event, its size has grown but the ethos is still very much the same; a completely memorable culinary experience with some of the world’s most innovative chefs creating unique Obsession menus for guests to enjoy at Northcote.
