Tom Shepherd

Tom Shepherd, a culinary luminary born in Sutton Coldfield, embarked on a remarkable gastronomic journey that led him through some of the UK's most revered establishments. He sharpened his skills as a Development Chef at Nottingham's 2 Michelin Star sensation, Sat Bains, and further refined them as Sous Chef at The Latymer. Not stopping there, Tom then dazzled the culinary scene of Birmingham as the Head Chef of the esteemed Michelin-starred restaurant, Adam’s.

2018 marked a pivotal moment in Tom's career when he won the coveted Acorn Award. Three years later, in 2021, Tom brought his dream to life with the opening of "Upstairs by Tom Shepherd" in Lichfield. This venue was not merely a restaurant but a reflection of Tom's deep family ties, sitting elegantly atop his father's jewellery store. The establishment's brilliance was recognized swiftly, earning a Michelin star within months of opening.

Tom's prowess wasn't limited to his restaurant alone. 2023 spotlighted him on the national stage, as he showcased his culinary artistry on the BBC’s Great British Menu. His homage to Desperate Dan not only won hearts but also the competition's prestigious main course round.
